I just remember the general comments on the theoretical status of the 5... Nxd5 variation. Of course, in such a sharp line it is perfectly possible that the status has changed since the last time I read anything about it. >> 1 -0.39 0.00 242 Nxf7 Kxf7 Qf3+ Ke6 Nc3 Nb4 Nxd5 Nxd5 d4 > >It's impressive that Gothmog plays Nxf7! Gothmog started out as an attempt to create a "Mac version of CST", so I am happy to see that it is able to reproduce some of CST's moves. :-) My aim is to make my engine play sharp, aggressive and sacrifical chess, even if it costs many points in comp-comp games (the sacs are not always sound). I don't see any point in trying to create an extremely strong engine, because there are so many super-strong engines available anyway. I find it much more interesting to try to produce an interesting, unusual and entertaining style of play. Tord
