Hello Steve
nobody can say I don't Know this line : I have a game in not less than 4 !!
databases ; it has been wrongly reported as Le Page/Brueckel W ch 1979
The game is OK , but the remainder is wrong :my opponent was not Brueckel , but
Usbeck and it was an EUIII/GT 1975;
You can find it : in coor.database of ChessBase
in database online of chessbase (free access )
                  in MegaCor3 of Harding
In Das Gambit Lexikon of Bangiev
I take the opportunity to apologize to Herr Brueckel who is surely better player
than I
Now , I come to the Fegatello variation:
in analysis mode , I left all the engines enough time ( more than 10')
the 3 which don't play Nxd5 NEVER play it even in blitz
with white , against Nxd5 , junior8 does not find a right move :it plays Qh5
junior7 plays Nxf7 at once ( as Morphy ) and , only after some minutes ,shifts
to d4 ,as it does in tournament play
shredder7 plays d4 and on exd4 , O-O ( Jaenisch ) Be7 7 Cxf7
I tried to analyze the causes of this case (this bug?)
it is not due to horizon effect , as engines faster than shredder7 play Nxd5 ,
like doctor? ; I think that they don't consider Nxf7 as a serious move
whereas junior7 , for instance takes it in prority
Now , for further details , I am at your disposal
Friendly yours
