Several were, while others were there for "only" 6 or 7 or 8 days.
And the same applies to a lot of Japanese.

Now I know you're going to reply that people like that obviously
don't have proper jobs. And that Canadians are merely Europeans
living on the wrong continent. Both of which can be defended.

But you chose the 1-line approach.
It was a gamble: you lost. :-)
