Probably not quite as much, as Anthony has pointed out.

Yes, but my engine is about 4 times slower than Crafty, and at least 250 rating
points weaker (currently 2914 vs 2661 in blitz rating on ICC).

I've noticed that this is quite common for Gothmog.  It solves many tactics
instantly,
but those which are not found instantly are often not found at all, even after
an hour
of thinking.  I'm not sure why this happens; my best guess is that it is caused
by
aggressive forward pruning.

I should be able to do it some time during Christmas, I think.

Thanks, but I don't think you would be impressed if you had seen it play a full
