Did you know what I can write in this case :-) Ruffian will beat Shredder on UCI playing level 8 of 11 :-)) I never hope that one of the available chess programs are stronger more as 50 ELO to the second position on a ratinglist. I like Shredder too (thinking on the time from the organize project "Deep Shredder vs. The World"). A lot of mails in this time from Shredder fans all over the world. I hope the discuss is over now. I saw that my text was not good, not to do with that I am not sure with my text! Must thinking on the time where Ruffian 1.0 is available. A lot of discuss in CCC about this engine. Like the engine of Gian Carlo too and I am sure that Sjeng will make in the future more of this big steps in playing strength. We need some of this programmer for the future of computer chess and we have more as 200 programmes which try daily to improved his programs, like that! You know that I am a very big fan of freeware!! Normaly the past is not important for, I look in the future. But in the case of Gandalf I am very disappointed. Not about it that Steen create for you a Gandalf 5.0 (Steen go to this time the right way in my opinion) more about it that you add the message on the same day on your webpages after all the time where I spent for this project. Sittings hours at home for organize this CD-Rom. I am sure you understand me ... Best Frank
