Too much knowledge at the expense of efficient search.  As a consequence, the
program was never actually finalised...  As I said earlier, one of the followers
was Viktor Vikhrev who published his program Kentavr back in 1992.  Kentavr did
pretty well against humans, but had big problems against computers, even then
before the wide-spread null move algo.
