And the Opteron produced numbers that no other chip has approached. IE the quad was regularly searching 8-11M nodes per second. My dual 2.8 gets 2-2.4M typically. That was a 2.0ghz opteron, and there are faster ones out, 2.2 at least. I would not make _any_ claim about how Fritz or any commercial engine would perform compared to non-opteron processors. Those with the programs will have to test that themselves. But for Crafty, it was _fast_.
