Somebody would probably claim that no chess benchmarks have been made at Anandtech's, but it would surprise me if the Athlon FX 51 is much faster than the Athlon 3400, although I don't have machines for testing. Remember that the two CPU's are almost identical, they are both running at 2.2 Ghz. The only difference is that the FX 51 has a 128 bit memory controller while the Athlon64 has a 64 bit controller. www.anandtech.com Martin.
