You forgot one choice...

1. Pay $1 for a license
2. Be dragged into court
3. Stay away from gothic chess, and never have to worry about #1, or #2.

I, like just about everyone else, will choose #3. As you have seen from your
offer to Dr. Hyatt (free license), people would rather steer clear of this mess
than pay $1 now and who knows how much next year, or get taken to court on some
technicality, or who knows what else.
