I have a toshiba Libretto. This computer is a 1.5 pound palm/laptop. win95, 32mb ram, p120, 2 gig. I will not carry the CDROM with me on my trips and can be gone as long as a month at time on business, I would like to play a quility chess engine and desire analysis functions as well as a moderate database to store and study my blunders with. I would also like to gain from my losses as well, the program should help me to become a better player. Copy protection is a problem because of the portable nature of the laptop, as well as battery life (about 2 hours). ps I bought Chessmaster 6000 and it requires the cdrom in the drive everytime I start a game or won't play. I am quite angry about this since compUSA can never tell me anything about any given product, and all sales are final, therfore I lost money on a product I can't use. Please help me avoid this again, Thank you. Dennis P.S. I have played chess recreationally for 10 years, I am about a 1200 rated player and have never been real serious about chess even though I have enjoyed it a great deal, I haven't had the time to study it. I now have the time while I am traveling and want to be a better player.
