What should be the sense to install the Shredder 8 engine a second time in your
Fritz 8 GUI - besides Shredder 8 CB native ?
IMO there are two other senseful ways to use this Shredder8.exe: Install it as
UCI engine
a) under other interfaces like Shredder Classic, Chess Assistant, Chesspartner
or Arena
b) under Fritz 8 GUI with a special setting (e.g. Shredder 8 Gambit) - as
separate UCI engine, additionally to the Shredder 8 (default) as CB engine.

So, under ChessBase GUI install Shredder 8 as UCI engine (menue "Engine | Create
UCI Engine...") and after picking up the "Shredder8.exe" file press the button
"Parameter..." to change the engine parameters - e.g. to the Shredder 8 Gambit
settings:

Queen=110
Queen (Endgame)=105
Rook=90
Rook (Endgame)=95
Bishop=90
Bishop (Endgame)=95
Knight=90
Knight (Endgame)=95
Pawn=85
Pawn (Endgame)=95
Draw Score=-10
King Safety=130
Center Control=120
Pawn Structure=95
Passed Pawns=105
Passed Pawns (Endgame)=110
Bishop Pair=105
Bishop Pair (Endgame)=105

(other parameters unmodified); after "OK" change the engine name to (e.g.)
"Shredder 8 Gambit".
After "OK" you have a 2nd engine "Shredder 8 Gambit" as separate UCI engine
under CB - besides Shredder 8 (default) as CB native.
