   Chessbase's xxxxxxx.uci files that are created in the Engines folder, from
the "Create UCI engine" process, are text. I think in cases where a native and
uci engine share a common name, as Shredder 8 apparently does, one could edit
the  xxxxxx.uci  file and change the "Name=xxxxxxx" so you can differentiate the
native and UCI in the GUI.  Just a thought, BK
