Hi Sarah,

Thanks for looking at the site, and I fixed the rc file missing error. It was
simply a typo.

The purpose of the Crafty site is to have a place where someone can easily
download, configure, and ask questions to people (I am adding a forum this
evening) that know alot about Crafty without asking here when they can find the
information easily. Also I used to have a Crafty website about two years ago and
I let it fail so I am simply just starting it up again. It was popular back
then, as I think this one will be.

I added your site because I look at your site frequently as I find the various
tournaments you run, and the rating list you have interesting and useful. I'm
glad that you do not mind that I put it there, as I feel others can enjoy your
site as well.

If you wanted to update your site and learn some easy ways to do it, I can help
you with that if you like. It is very simple to do once you make a site
"template" like I have done, then editting the pages is a snap and takes no time
at all.

About your "computer" question. When playing via Winboard, Crafty recieves the
computer command and thus adjusts it's setting accordingly. Also when issueing
the computer command via the rc file for other interfaces or on it's own, it
must be on the second line in your rc file I have found. I don't know the
reason, but it seems to work:

found computer opening book file [./bookc.bin].
EGTB access enabled
using tbpath=./TB
5 piece tablebase files found
14005kb of RAM used for TB indices and decompression tables
playing a computer! <<<<<<<<<<<<<---- It shows it playing a computer

adaptive maximum psize = 24M
EGTB cache memory = 32M bytes.

Here is my rc file:

show book
exit

I hope this helps.

Peter.
