Well I have to admit that "C" is not the language of choice but there are several versions of basic that run very fast. They are compiled. One of them is MicroSoft's Visual Basic and the other that I can think of is called PowerBasic. They both incorporate many window functions and can call stand-alone machine language functions. Still, I think that "C" is fastest, just not the easiest to learn. Bill
