I don't think that it steals memory from the opponent or do you mean disk space?
Terra produces either one and only one logfile that grows or one new logfile for
each game or no logfile at all, depending of the users settings.
Anyway, I think that the solution is to let the user set logfile on/off.
I've found logfiles extremely useful when someone reports an error that I can't
repeat in my own environment. Just ask for the logfile... That happens quite
often. For instance when different GUI's are using the protocols differently.
