you will certainly be able to understand SOMCS. watson attempts to explain
current trends in GM games, which means he has to take some of them and present
them to the reader. i would say it is definitely a book for the advanced player
if it should be useful for your chess improvement (lowly patzers generally
should work through tactics books...). but even if it won't improve your chess,
it is an interesting read.
