As with any engine match there is the variable of # of games to be added to the strength of the engines as well as naturally in this case the fact that Shredder 7.04 runs in the Classic interface using it's own book Shredder7.bkt while Shredder 8 is running in the CB Gui using Shredder8.ctg. The book author clearly states that the .bkt book is the stronger of the two and since not many are testing Shredder 7.04 in it's own Classic Gui why would you try to compare your results. Sarah.
