Subject: Why not hide lengthy threads behind an HTML link?

Thanks, I'm very aware that I don't have to read the CM6000 posts.

My main interest is being able to *find* other posts. It's getting difficult,
because if you have the misfortune of posting shortly before a gigantic CM6000
thread starts, your post will be "off the screen" in 1-2 hours.

Most Usenet news readers solve this problem by "hiding" replies to a thread
underneath the thread title. Free Agent is a good example. It would be easy to
implement the same solution in HTML. The title of the thread could be a link to
a screen which shows all replies to the original post.

I like this solution even more than my earlier suggestion of creating subgroups.

Any supporters?
