I emailed Boris to thank him for this fantastic resource, and to suggest the
standard 'diagram-like piece icons.'  Here's what he said in reply:

"One of the undocumented 'coming soon' features will, actually, be the ability
to choose between a classical diagram-like chess pieces and the ones you
see.  My guess is that within a couple of months you will see your
suggestion implemented.  There will also be a choice of several preset color
schemes for the chessboard.

I know that at this point my site is mostly intended for advanced players,
but I would very much like to change this.  I want to offer a warm welcome
the beginners as well! To this end, I will be adding such features as Visual
Puzzles where pieces move (and prompt you move by move...).  I will add more
openings material with illustrative games and short articles...
