I didn't see any match conditions, only that Shredder was the only engine that
could consistently beat it and that he used an old computer and a fritz8 book.

IIRC Tiger was number 1 long before it got sold by Chessbase.

Other than that I don't see anything strange in that, the Chessbase engines
usually have been the strongest.
Looks like the chessbase policy is simply to go out and buy all the strong
engines.

I doubt it, but I don't think they have much interest in testing a private
program like Diep anyway.
