And (my opinion) the > SSDF ratings are too high but it does not matter as it's > the relation between the programs that counts more. > Kurt This is also in dispute however, Crafty smashing CCT6 is a good example, it had the fastest hardware in the field, with a program optimized for it, Hyatt, infact said that the book was overestimated, and that hardware to his own surprise was just as important, ALTHOUGH, i would like if he could post to this, incase i am misunderstanding hiw own conclusions. A speed increase might very-well help against humans just as much as it does vs other programs if the 'optimal' move takes 15 minutes to find on a athlon 3200, it might not find it at tournament time control, but if you have duals, or a quad box, then your cooking. <--just my humble opinion.
