Besides I really don't think you can compare all "conferences" like that, just call it a conference and suddenly personal attendance is required? At which point did a computer chess tournament become a conference? As far as I know it is about playing 11 rounds of chess, if there is computer chess conference I'll like to know who is giving lectures and what the topics are. -S.
