Chess programs are bottlenecked almost 100% on CPU speed. If you go from 2.2 GHz
to 2.4 GHz, you speed goes up pretty much by (2.4-2.2)/2.2. (Assuming same
architecture of course.)

In fact the speedup is a tiny bit less than that, because the max memory speed
is the same on all of the Opterons.

BTW in the CCC archives you will find some crafty benchmarks on the various
Amd64 systems.
