Dan,

The nominees for moderator will have a "philosophy of moderation" statement
posted in the election (polling) area.  That should answer your questions.  I
also encourage you to read the CCC Charter, which addresses some of your
concerns.  It's located at http:/www.icdchess.com/, click on the CCC icon.
