The only benefit I see for partitioning in windows is to reduce the cluster
size.
At least for Fat-32.  I don't know about NTFS and basically don't care because I
am on Linux 95% of the time and only use widows for games and a couple of
programs that haven't been ported or can't be run without Wine or WineX

Having enough cache to hold the 4 man tables should be enough.  ~34MB
Forget about caching for the 5 man and up tables.

It's probably more important to keep things on separate devices rather than
simply on different partitions.  Maybe the black egtbs on one device and the
white egtbs
on another.

Make dang sure you have everything defragged, unless of course you are on Linux
where it doesn't matter.
