I can add that movei finds it not for the reason of the game and plans Nxe6

It evaluates the position after zappa's move as also slightly better for white
but the advantage is smaller(at least at small depthes).

After Nd4 Ba6 Qf3 only at depth 12 it can see 0.43 for white and not 0.15 for
white.

Finding Qf3 if it is correct may be harder than finding the sacrifice.
