Hi all, I have recently implemented a virtual device driver (VxD) in my chess program to allow access to hardware ports, which at present I use only to click the speaker between moves, but which I hope will be the basis of a very fast Auto232 implementation through direct com1 ports. Previously I clicked the speaker by coding in and out instructions in Assembler, but this is not allowed under NT, although it works fine under Win95 (not sure about Win98) Now I only have Win95, but this new implementation with the VxD should work properly under all versions of 32-bit Windows. Is there anyone with WinNT or Win98 installed on their machines that would be prepared to test my new implementation to (hopefully!) confirm that it does indeed now run smoothly on these platforms. It would not take much of your time, and you get a new chess program as well. Any offers? Merry Christmas, Roberto
