I've written numerous bots on ICC. That much is easy. The problem is where to
relay the moves FROM. The only place the moves are happening live is on
PlayChess, and there are two problems with that:

1.) To the best of my knowledge, PlayChess hasn't released any specifications
about how to write a progrm to interface with their server. I.E. their interface
is the only one usable (in contrast to ICC for which there are at least a dozen
interfaces, plus an open standard for writing your own).

2.) For ICC to relay games directly off the Playchess server they would have to
either not give PlayChess any credit, which would be extraordinarily rude (I
spoke to an ICC admin personally, and he assured me that was the only reason
they weren't doing that), or give them credit, which you can hardly expect a
competitive business to do.

This is a real quandary, and I'm not sure what the solution is. Andrew
