And your point would be?  Could they not appoint someone to handle this _before_
the event starts?  There is a lot more going on in an airline besides _just_ the
pilot flying the airplane.  But I doubt they would forget that important
detail...

Omitting the P/R side of this is really smart when they want to again ask a
sponsor to contribute a large chunk of money to host the event.  Yet no one can
find out what is going on while it is in progress...
