Is this correct or just some nationalistic hope of the >Italian newspaper ? There is some wishful thinking and they are a bit right. I was born in Belgium, lived here my whole life, and both my parents are Belgian (my father was naturalized from Italian->Belgian). I don't speak Italian. Logically I should have been a Belgian, since both my parents are, but there was an administrative mistake when my parents married which had as a consequence that I ended up having a double nationality. We did not actually know this until at my 18th birthday I got an Italian letter. When I asked my father, he translated it and it was the draft for the Italian army! Figuring out what happened took some days of working the beaurocracies of both countries. So technically they are right, I am (also) an Italian, and I indeed work for a Belgian company (my own!). -- GCP
