What's the problem? That is a fair contest, assuming the contest is between boxers who have the option to choose a weapon. If all participants know that up front, then there is no problem. However, don't confuse this with a boxing contest and complain, "This is such an unfair boxing contest!" It isn't a boxing contest, let alone an unfair one. That's where your argument falls apart.
