The reasons why athletes can not use performance enhancing drugs is not for the purpose of fairness. 1. It is illegal to take steroids for enhancing athletic performance 2. It can cause a great deal of harm to the body, including early death So they obviously do not allow this in competition. Sorry, using a faster computer is not a reasonable comparison to the use of steroids in athletics.
