Alright it finally works in both terminals... fink seems to work, if you're wondering I thnk I prefer xterm, simply because I have to open that up anyway, but thanks to all who have followed this ridiculously long and troubled thread. I am new to using Macs, and while Mac OSX is easy enough for any Windows user, Unix is not something you can pick up easily. THANK YOU ALL for your help, and it should be smooth sailing from here on out.
