I've had quite a few people inquire about Voyager's results on ICC -- on FICS it is about 2490 blitz, and over 2600 lightning, but that was mostly the older versions, the latest versions surpass the 2500 mark easily. Because of the expressed interest I've decided to present the current status of Voyager on ICC; its temporary account will be over by Jan 7, 1999: Statistics for MagusX(C) On for: 0 Idle: 0 rating [need] win loss draw total best Wild ---- [6] 0 0 0 0 Bughouse ---- [6] 0 0 0 0 Bullet 2755 37 11 6 54 2789 (28-Dec-1998) Blitz 2825 35 5 5 45 2825 (30-Dec-1998) Standard ---- [6] 0 0 0 0 1: Voyager 2.x by G.Mueller. 2: PII, no tablebases, lousy book. Accumulated hours : 13.12 % of life on icc : 8.53 Account expires : 07 Jan 1999 Voyager (ver. 2.33) scored one of its typical wins against a high-powered dual processor Crafty nicknamed "Data" (2 X 411Mhz, Linux, Crafty 16.3) today. It's leading vs another dual processor Crafty -- Singacrafty too... Here's the win against Data (I am running it on my PII-350, 128MB, book used has about 14,000 positions and is sorely missing some important lines -- at present both the author and I are each working on improving the book -- I've got 34,000 GM games in line, waiting to be checked and rechecked...)
