Dave, I think I see your point. So you are saying that inbetween is needed to get the opk, and once you have that, the wb2uci should point to theking333.exe instead of to theking.exe (which is really inbetween.exe). The advantage is less overhead, the disadvantage is no command window showing the behind the scenes actions. So I rewrote the wb2uci.eng, reinstalled as a uci engine, and it is working. The new wb2uci.eng [ENGINE] Name=TheKing 3.33 skr Author=Johan de Koning Filename=Wb2Uci.exe [OPTIONS] Program=TheKing333.exe InitString=cm_parm default\ncm_parm opk=959890\ncm_parm tts=131072000 opp=100 opn=100 opb=100 opr=100 opq=100 myp=100 myn=100 myb=100 myr=100 myq=101 cc=105 mob=110 ks=155 pp=100 pw=100 cfd=0 sop=100 avd=-2 rnd=0 sel=12 md=99 HashOnCommandline=false InitTime=2 Ponder=false Logfile=false Edit=setboard UseSAN=false Priority=normal AddHintMove=false ShowThinkingMove=true Protocol=1 -Norm
