Hi, Maybe I am wrong, but the "fail on first move"-Rate does only test a tiny part of your move ordering well, because it is either the first or not the first move. Thus all that counts how the first move is sorted. Thus optimize your hash implementation and implement a capture move ordering with SEE. Sort your Killer Moves in front of loosing captures. This will increase your Rate. Greetings Volker
