I do checks in the qsearch to variable depth (sometimes quite deep) and I do not
see a position where I'm below 90% fail high on the first move very often at
all.  I have an SEE though, which you might not?

In fact I just grepped through ~150 logfiles from test suite runs and ~25
logfiles from games on ICC.  (also note that I've been doing a lot of work on
the engine lately and these numbers come from test runs with unsound experiments
and some move ordering _bugs_).
