Bob, Thanks to you and everybody else for replying! I didn't think about the time management thing, but I see that aspiration windows could be useful there. I think I will simply remove aspiration windows from my engine now in order to keep things as simple as possible, and experiment with them again when the program gets a bit more mature. Tord
