Again a very simple answer, Kurt:

You _know_ what you are doing - setting a special parameter to a
specific _possible_ (i.e. _allowed_) value!
And you _know_ why the program plays stronger - simply because this
parameter value seems to be better!

But we had this discussion already long time ago in CSS-forum, and I know,
that I can´t convince you.

Here´s another example from my own (other) hobby:
I have a PC-controlled amateur radio receiver, which allows tuning steps
of 1 Hz. Now I have a control software for this receiver, which only
allows me to change the frequency in steps of 100Hz.
My question: shouldn´t I use the ´finer´ tuning steps of 1HZ, if this would
give a much better reception, only because the software doesn´t allow it??

(Vielleicht schaffe ich es doch noch, Dich zu überzeugen ... ;-))

Best regards,
Franz.
