The SPECINT version of crafty was _way_ scaled down. IE eval missing, only the chess "kernel" with just enough support code to be able to run test suites, etc. That was pretty cache-friendly. The current version is less friendly because it is significantly bigger. I don't pay much attention to any testing from such sites as I have seen way too much pro-intel or pro-amd bias here and there. I follow my own advice pretty well. "always benchmark yourself when making purchasing decisions..."
