Go up one level in this thread

I am firmly with Hydra I don't care if anyone here thinks it as arrogance. For
that matter I consider Garry to be more arrogant thinking World Championship to
be his own property. he is maintaining high rating only because he is playing
one tourney a year as rightly said by Vladimir Kramnik. I think Vladimir or
Anand or for that matter even Leko is more eligible to represnt human race
aginst such a computer thatn Garyy\ at the moment. In any Human vs Computer
match I will be rooting for Human except when Garry is playing the match. Bythe
way Gary is at his lowest this year as u can see Linares. I hope if such a match
is conducted Garry is crushed.

In hydra's case U r right that he played on the superior hardware but we should
not comment on a hardware that has not played a official game against a GM so
far. I personally doubt if Hydra will play very poorly if given a smaller amt.
of Processing speed and RAM. Also I tjink Chilly as done great work in the chess
code he will improve further to take computer chess to the new level where a
machine will be able to beat human in closed positions involving long term
plans. I will fill proud the day human is beaten in such a position. As for
technology dominating Human beings is impossible. A chess Game should be taken
sportingly. Everytime I read kasparov beaten we say oh well Human race has lost.
Mind u Human race has won cos we have created the technology u should rather
than seeing the flop side see the amt. of effort a chess progammer has put into
his program. I don,t think there is any arrogance in whatever i am writing here
because i am writing from my heart and noboy can change my heart
