Please read the following thread. You can modify crafty and have it generate movelists which you can compare against ones output by your program, and it will make it easy to debug this. http://chessprogramming.org/cccsearch/ccc.php?art_id=352667 If you don't address this now, then you'll always have doubts in the back of your head. And this is a really simple thing to debug if you assume that other programs can produce a 100% correct answer here. When you debug other chess problems, there isn't always a clearcut definition of correctness.
