i noticed too. none of that chicken-chess that he played against deeper blue any
more! and also some specifically chosen openings which are good against
computers, like his slav with an early g4. also the game he lost was in fact
very nice.
i certainly think that in those later matches he had a much clearer idea of what
to play and what not to play against the machine.
