Subject: Will Someone Please Explain Why So Many People Hate Dos Chess Programs?

  At the Risk of being labeled as an Imbecile, could someone explain this
extreme hatred for Dos Chess Programs! This is one of those questions That for a
long time I wanted to ask but was afraid to. Personally having purchased my
first program in dos (rebel6)I am more comfortable with dos programs. I hope
rebel never goes to windows. What are the advantages and disadvantages of
windows chess programs over Dos? At the moment I only own one windows chess
program (CM4000) and personally I don't see anything special about it, in fact I
would perfer Rebel in Dos over CM4000 in windows one million times!!
