Hi all, I barely could believe it, but the new SlowChess Blitz really kickes a$$. The latest v2.94 was already very strong (Place 27/304 engines), but the new version improved again by over 80 Elo-points to end up as one of the very very best amateur engines. The author Jon Kreuzer wrote in the WB forum about this new verion: "This is an intermediate version, the idea was to completely change the eval ... and the search too (by adding a tactical quiescence search that includes checks and other moves.) I haven't done nearly all this though, so I don't claim this isn't mostly still the same Slow Chess. A lot of the King Safety and Passed Pawn scoring are new at least.....)"
