In that range, tripling the speed might be worth 50 points , the P4 is slightly handicapped for chess -- so 2400/200 =12; 12/3 =4 ; so 4 x50 = 200 ; less an unknown fudge factor of ?15 points for the p4 poor chess performance. The answer is : 2579 . I am 95% confident that the true SSDF elo rating for Chess genius 5 running on a P4 2.4 Ghz is between 2529 and 2629. ;>)
