Subject: Shredder 9 improvements over Shredder 8

Hi,

Shredder 9 will be available both with CB interface and UCI - Classic ones to
let people chose the one they prefer or get them both without confusion.

There are 2 versions for each one package; the std. single processor one and the
Deep one which is the same but has the multi processors handling capability; up
to 8 processors

The Deep version is more expensive and can be used also on a single processor
with very little less speed than single processor one.

The opening book has been improved and it is the same for both GUI, but the UCI
GUI allows 3 reading possibilities instead of 2, so there is available the
tournament option which allows a more restricted selection in Classic GUI as
some "weaker" moves will not be played. This will give the highest performance.

Also the learning feature is different in the 2 GUIs, as it was with Shredder 8.

Shredder 9 engine search deeper and/or smarter in most positions. It is better
in closed positions. It plays more actively as it will try to win more games and
is improved in the endgames too.

Shredder UCI - Classic GUI will include also some new improvents/features too.

How much stronger is it?

This time I will leave the fun to find out to you!:-))

Ciao
Sandro
