Hello, After much constipation even at my young age, my dedication to this had paid off this afternoon after finally getting fruit,ruffian 1.0.5,shredder 7.04 and shredder 8 to work under winboard. Their paths are somewhat different to the usual winboard engine paths created in the winboard folder, as they are uci engines. Firstly,each uci engine had its own folder in the winboard main folder.Also,the shredder eng files and configuration files need to be copied to the newly created sepearte uci folders.Secondly,Bookthinker.exe has to be copied to the same folder, so does Thinker.dat,polyglot.exe and the polyglot ini file needs to be created,edited with the uci engine command lines and saved in your uci engine folder.Once this is done, Bookthinker.exe has to be renamed to`BT+Shredder8+polyglot`.Lastly,i had to copy the finalized `BT+Shredder8+polyglot` (or whatever uci engine you chose) in to the main winboard folder to act as the protocool through winboard.exe.So it communicates properly.This is my somewhat,perhaps confusing long description of how i did this, and the engine paths can differ in respect to where you origianlly install winboard to and all of your engine files. But it wont differ by much.
