Well, right, you could tune for that openings... but on the other hand you have also some influence at SSDF because of newer better opening books. Especially when new engines play at the beginning at older engines this is quite often visible, they score better then they are... As soon as a newer engine is available this gets normalized... -> This is no critics about SSDF, I think we are talking here about 10 Elos... Somehow SSDF and Klaus Wlotzka are doing different things, not only with the time control. The SSDF tests the strength of the hole package, the testing conditions of Klaus Wlotzka are more concentrated on the engine strength alone. (If we forget about the idea that somebody tunes his engine for those openings...) -> Anyway SSDF and the CSS-list usually agrees in who is hot and who is not... That speaks for both rating lists.
