Per TWIC they are still trying to comfirm Tie Break rule: Linares 2005. Final Round 14 under way. Topalov innovates in the opening but Kasparov looked to have equalised. Kasparov then seemed to lose his nerve and bailed out into a lost King and Pawn ending. Topalov thus catches Kasparov, he seems to have lost out on tie-break, they have the same number of wins but the Linares organisers seem to prefer number of wins with black rather than head to head results as the next tie-break. Looking for confirmation. Topalov is reported to be very happy whatever!
